With the immersive infusion process in the Hario V60 Switch-Dripper, the coffee is completely immersed in water to extract the flavors optimally. And this is how it works:

1. Prepare the coffee and water: Coarsely grind your coffee and pour it into the filter insert. Pour the desired amount of hot water (approx. 92-96°C) directly over the coffee so that it is completely covered.
2. Steeping time: Allow the coffee to steep for a certain amount of time (we recommend 30-60 seconds) so that the aromas can fully develop. Extraction takes place during this phase, similar to a French press.
3. Activate the switch: After the steeping time, switch to “Switch”, which keeps the water in the filter in contact with the coffee or drains it – depending on the setting – and thus further influences the extraction.
4. Finish: After the desired brewing time, open the drain so that the coffee slowly flows through the filter into your cup.

The highlight: The immersive process ensures even extraction and a full-bodied taste, as the coffee remains in constant contact with water throughout the entire process. The switch allows you to switch flexibly between different brewing methods to achieve your perfect result.
