What is cold brew?

Cold brew is a popular coffee drink that is enjoyed in a glass with ice cubes. It is made by slowly extracting ground coffee in cold water over a longer period of time (we recommend 8 to 12 hours). The coffee is not heated during this process. This results in a less bitter but more intense taste – often with fruity, fresh notes.

Home-made cold brew

Whether on the go or at home – you can not only enjoy cold brew in our cafés but also prepare it yourself. All you need is the practical Varia Cold Brew Maker, filtered water and a filter coffee of your choice. We have put together a few recipe inspirations for you in our blog. For a balanced cold brew with a very chocolaty taste, we recommend our Santiago filter coffee from Brazil. If you prefer a fruitier cold brew, you will particularly like our two roasts Kathendu AA and Don Luis.
